A love of nature and a hint of nostalgia for my native Croatia (Yugoslavia) find their way into most of my art. Patterns and transformations fascinate me, as subject and as an artistic process. A chrysalis biding its time on an anise flower, colors and shapes on a butterfly’s wings, relics of a bygone time backlit by the setting sun, mosaic lilies floating on water reflecting clouds – I relive the fleeting moments as I draw and paint.
