Suzie grew up loving art, making crafts, and playing with color. In 1986, after receiving her BFA in graphic design at the University of Washington, Suzie moved with her husband to the Bay Area and took a job in the field of graphic design. In 2001, when the need for an art teacher came up at her local elementary school, Suzie took a chance and tried it out.
While teaching explorations with materials, textures, and paints Suzie became inspired by the innovation of student art and began experimenting with it herself. Suzie’s art evolved from her original obsession with Van Gogh-esque expressionism, and now 5 years into it, she’s created a limited edition series of prints and cut out stencil paintings available in the Gallery @ Panorama Framing.
