Adrienne Heloise is a cut-paper collage artist living in Oakland, California. She creates cut-paper works that explore intimacy, gender and power referencing imagery from early Americana, Napoleonic battles, and medieval jousts.
Born in Santa Rosa, Adrienne attended Humboldt State University where she received and a BA in Psychology. She moved to Oakland in 1998 and started exhibiting her work in 2012 at Southern Exposure, Root Division, Kala, Berkeley Art Center and ProArts. In 2014, Heloise was awarded the de Young Artist Fellowship and a 2-month residency in the de Young Museum’s Kimball Gallery.
